Sansevierias (Snake Plants) are some of the toughest plants you can find. The Sansevieria (san-suh-veer-ee-uh), often called an Elephant’s toothpick – which is so fitting for these statement plants with interesting sword-like leaves. These plants are very long-lived, unlike some houseplants. You can find them tall or short, with round, flat or concave leaves, and variegated with dark green, silver, light green, yellow, chartreuse or white. Snake Plant care is a snap. They’re virtually indestructible unless you have a heavy hand with the watering. They seem to thrive on the dry air in our homes, as well as neglect. The more you ignore them, the better they do. It typically grows 24 to 36 inches tall indoors. The Snake Plant cleans air better than most other indoor plants. When placed in office and home spaces Snake Plants can assist in increasing productivity, decreasing stress, fostering happy vibes and enriching overall well-being and health.

This plant can get by with very little natural light.

This plant can go several weeks without water. Only water it when the soil dries out completely and be careful not to over-water.

It typically grows 24 to 36 inches tall indoors. Adored by generations of houseplant owners for its ease of growth, this variety won the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society of the UK in 1993 and is still popular today. This species is native to areas of Western Africa and is often enjoyed in planters in decks and patios in addition to its common use as a houseplant. It’s relatively slow-growing, especially in low-light conditions (which it tolerates well). Its vertical growth makes it perfect for small spaces, as well as contemporary/modern decorating schemes.

Cold Weather & Heat Pack Notice  
For areas with temperatures below 45°F (7°C), a heat pack is strongly recommended. Extreme cold can damage live plants. Botanic Live is not responsible for weather-related damage if a heat pack is not added to the order. Heat packs are available as an optional add-on.
 
Customization & Handmade Nature  
Each plant is handcrafted and made to order. No two plants are exactly alike. Natural variations in trunk shape, foliage, and size should be expected. If you would like to see the specific plant before shipping, please request photos prior to placing your order and leave a note at checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Optional personalization is available. If selected, please enter the message you would like printed on the greeting card at checkout.
 
After You Receive Your Plant  
Please open the package as soon as it arrives. Do not leave the plant inside the box or outdoors for an extended period. This is a live plant and needs airflow and light. General care instructions are included, but plants may need time to adjust to their new environment and climate.
 
Handling and Shipping Policy  
Orders are shipped using a 2–3 business day shipping service, depending on the shipping method selected at checkout and the carrier that best suits your location. Available carriers may include USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Tracking information will be provided once the shipping label is created. It is the buyer’s responsibility to track the shipment and receive the package promptly.
 
If the plant arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and include clear photos of the plant and packaging. Claims submitted after 24 hours cannot be accepted, as damage may be related to environmental exposure or care after delivery.
 
No Returns or Exchanges  
Due to the live and perishable nature of plants, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If you experience any issues with your order, please contact us directly and we will be happy to assist.
