Portuaria afra, commonly known as Elephant Bush or Dwarf Jade, is a sun-loving succulent shrub native to South Africa. It is known for its thick, water-storing stems and small leaves, making it very drought tolerant once established. With strong light and proper pruning, it responds beautifully to shaping and is a popular choice for bonsai styling.
