Since the beginning of my life, art has been my refuge, my language, and my way of expressing the world around me. It all started when, as a little girl, I discovered the magic of creating something out of nothing. Without the means to acquire luxurious items, I decided to make my own clothes for school events. That was when I understood the transformative power of creativity.
Over time, my passion for art evolved. Inspired by the rustic landscapes of my beloved Colombia, I immersed myself in painting and design. First, designing swimsuits, and later finding a deeper connection: the natural beauty gifted to us by the Earth. This bond, this interdependence with nature, became the heart of my work.
My story took a new turn when I shared my passion with my eldest daughter. Together, we discovered the joy of creating by merging the beauty of art and nature. It was during a walk in the woods, surrounded by the whisper of trees, the song of birds, and the fresh scent of the earth, that we found our true inspiration. That experience gave life to our dream: bringing the essence of the forest into people’s homes.
On our journey, we discovered the ancient Japanese art of kokedamas, a technique that uses natural elements to create living plant pots. This discovery revolutionized our vision, and with effort and dedication, we perfected our technique. Thus, Botanic Live was born—a space where we celebrate the union of creativity and nature.
